Singapore’s craft beer scene is welcoming a new milestone as People People Brewing Co. launches Batch 001, the brewery’s first beer brewed entirely onsite at its social brewery and gastropub in Resorts World Sentosa.

The release marks the start of the brewery’s tank-to-tap programme, fulfilling the vision first introduced when the venue opened earlier this year. Brewed within its dedicated 2,000-square-foot production facility, Batch 001 is the first of many beers that will be produced and served directly from the brewery.

First Pour Celebration in August

To commemorate the launch, People People Brewing Co. will host a First Pour celebration for its Founding Members on 13 August 2026. The festivities will then open to the public on 14 August, when guests can enjoy Batch 001 for a promotional price of S$5 per pour throughout the day.

Crafted by Award-Winning Brewer Nick Calder-Scholes

Batch 001 has been developed under the guidance of Head Brewer Nick Calder-Scholes, who was named Australian Brewer of the Year in 2024. The inaugural brew represents months of recipe refinement, pilot batches and operational preparation before officially launching the brewery’s in-house beer programme.

According to Calder-Scholes, brewing onsite provides greater flexibility to experiment with new styles while allowing guests to experience beer at its freshest.

More Locally Brewed Beers on the Way

With its brewing facilities now fully operational, People People Brewing Co. plans to introduce a rotating lineup of seasonal and limited-edition beers over the coming months.

Upcoming releases are expected to include:

• Japanese Rice Lager
• Pacific Ale
• Poolside Pils
• Tropical Sour brewed with mango and dragon fruit

The range aims to balance approachable everyday beers with more adventurous seasonal creations.

Behind-the-Scenes Brewery Tours

Visitors interested in learning more about the brewing process can also join daily brewery tours led by Calder-Scholes himself.

Tours are priced at S$68 per person, with a minimum booking of four guests, offering an opportunity to explore the brewery while learning about the craft behind each beer.
