A new Korean barbecue concept has opened at National Gallery Singapore, bringing interactive grilling and contemporary Korean flavours into one of the city’s most distinctive cultural spaces. Located on Level 5, Seoul & So offers diners the unusual experience of enjoying Korean barbecue alongside views of the Gallery’s rooftop installations and surrounding architecture.

The restaurant adds another dimension to the Gallery’s growing dining lineup, positioning itself as a destination where visitors can combine art viewing with a shared meal.

A Contemporary Take on Korean Barbecue by the Team Behind Seoul Restaurant

Seoul & So is created by the same award-winning team behind Seoul Restaurant at Conrad Singapore Orchard, with the concept led by the Rhee siblings. The restaurant builds on traditional Korean barbecue foundations while introducing a more energetic and modern dining format designed for both casual visits and group gatherings.

Guests can choose between à la carte selections and tasting menus structured for sharing, allowing flexibility depending on the occasion.

Premium Meats Anchor the Dining Experience

The menu highlights a range of premium cuts that reflect both Korean barbecue traditions and international sourcing. Diners can expect selections such as Hanwoo beef and Handon pork from Korea, alongside Japanese and Australian wagyu, USDA Prime beef, and Iberico pork.

Weekday set lunches start from $35, offering a more accessible way to experience the restaurant during daytime visits, while dinner service focuses on a broader selection of meats and sharing options.

Dedicated grilling stations keep the experience interactive without taking over the entire table, allowing guests to enjoy the ritual of Korean barbecue while still staying engaged in conversation.

Dining Surrounded by Art at National Gallery Singapore

One of the defining features of Seoul & So Korean BBQ National Gallery Singapore is its setting within the Gallery itself. From their tables, guests can look out towards the Ng Teng Fong Roof Garden Gallery installations, creating a dining atmosphere shaped by both architecture and visual art.

The location makes it suitable for visitors planning a museum day as well as those looking for a central dining destination with a different kind of backdrop from typical city restaurants.
