This summer, dessert fans in Central are in for a treat. Butterfly Patisserie, the luxury dessert boutique from Rosewood Hong Kong, is opening a limited-time pop-up at Lane Crawford IFC mall—its first-ever location on Hong Kong Island.

Running from 5 June to 31 July 2025, the pop-up is a rare opportunity to get your hands on the boutique’s famed Hokkaido flans, previously only available across the harbour.

Two Flavours, Limited Daily Quantities

Under the guidance of Executive Pastry Chef Jonathan Soukdeo, Butterfly Patisserie will offer two indulgent flavours:

  • Hokkaido Custard Flan (HK$98): A fan favourite made with premium Hokkaido milk, silky vanilla custard, and rich amber caramel.

  • Hokkaido Taro Flan (HK$108): A Lane Crawford exclusive, featuring creamy taro in a flaky pastry shell—a fusion of East Asian nostalgia and French technique.

Each day, only 150 flans will be available (100 taro and 50 custard), with a cap of four per customer—ensuring artisanal quality and exclusivity.

Chef Jonathan’s Signature Touch

The magic behind these creations comes from Chef Jonathan Soukdeo, a French-trained pastry artist who’s worked with industry legends at institutions like Hôtel de Crillon and The Peninsula Paris. Known for his balance of precision and creativity, Chef Jonathan brings haute patisserie to the everyday indulgence of custard flan.
