In 2021, VIVANT expands beyond wine-focused experiences with an exclusive series dedicated to the art of food and wine pairing. The platform will release experiences in this new category on a regular basis, starting today with an essential introduction to the magic of pairings.
The “Essentials of Food & Wine Pairing” experience focuses on the key pillars for matching sustainable cuvées with different flavors. The experience presents the six primary taste sensations—salty, sour, bitter, umami, fat and sweet— and combines them with emblematic styles of wines (sweet and dry whites, bold and light reds, etc.). VIVANT’s expert Wine Advisors guide participants through key learnings and misconceptions about cooking and pairing. During the 35-minute live session, participants taste wines from VIVANT partner producers in Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Loire.
Because effective learning comes through practice, this new format includes a list of do-it-yourself pairings for participants. Throughout the experience, participants awaken their senses and taste some of the world’s best responsibly made wines, such as Isabelle et Denis Pommier’s Petit Chablis Hautérivien 2018 and Château Haut-Bages Libéral’s Pauillac 2016. The Essentials of Food & Wine Tasting Kit is available for purchase on VIVANT at the price of €80 / $78 / £73 / HK$603 / S$119. Members can already save their spot for live sessions that have started since 16thFebruary.
Through this new series, VIVANT steps into the vast and fascinating playground of food and wine. From a refined cheese board to the gourmet pleasures of the world’s most sumptuous cuisines, the platform will continue to open the doors to the gastronomic world with exclusive content and partnerships. VIVANT will feature chefs, cheesemakers, and other industry movers-and-shakers, highlighting the best stories and the best pairings along the way. More to come soon!
