Bettr Coffee, Singapore’s homegrown specialty coffee brand, has opened its first-ever sit-down café at The Foundryin the Prinsep District, marking a major milestone in its journey towards conscious consumption and community building. Known for its social impact initiatives and ethical sourcing, Bettr Coffee has long been at the forefront of sustainable coffee practices, and its new café is designed to offer more than just great coffee—it’s a space for connection, creativity, and positive change.

A Café Rooted in Purpose

Since its founding in 2011, Bettr Coffee has been a catalyst for social change, training over 15,000 individuals, including at-risk youth and marginalized communities, through its Bettr Academy. With the launch of Bettr Coffee @ The Foundry, the brand extends its commitment to ethical sourcing, waste reduction, and sustainability-driven innovation.

Designed as a modern, community-focused café, the space features:

  • A pet-friendly outdoor garden with a self-sustaining herb garden supplying fresh ingredients for drinks and small plates.
  • A work-friendly environment with thoughtfully placed power outlets, making it an ideal spot for remote workers and creatives.
  • A gathering space for changemakers, encouraging conversations around sustainability and responsible consumption.

“We wanted our first café to be more than just a place to grab coffee—it’s a space that invites guests to be part of something bigger,” says Pamela Chng, Founder & CEO of Bettr Group.

A Thoughtfully Curated Menu

Conscious Coffee & Innovative Beverages

Bettr Coffee @ The Foundry offers classic espresso drinks alongside experimental coffee creations, all sourced through direct-trade partnerships with ethical coffee farmers in Asia and Latin America.

  • Prefer – A bean-free decaf alternative made from upcycled bread, soy, and barley, addressing the impact of climate change on coffee-growing regions.
  • Black & Cola – A refreshing blend of organic Madagascan cola and Bettr’s Eureka blend, a gold medal winner at the Royal Melbourne AICA Awards 2022.
  • Coconut Russian – A crowd-favourite iced white coffee with coconut milk, brown sugar syrup, and cream top.

Sustainable Cocktails & Natural Wines

The café’s low-waste cocktail menu features inventive creations using upcycled ingredients, such as:

  • Bettr Old Fashioned – A classic whisky cocktail infused with spent coffee grounds, using ecoSPIRITS’ low-waste packaging.
  • Gin & Teanic – A twist on a gin and tonic, infused with dried lemongrass and rooibos tea through sous vide extraction.
  • Junglebird – A tropical-inspired drink featuring pineapple, lime, and betel leaf from the café’s own garden.

The natural wine selection highlights minimal-intervention wines made with wild fermentation and low sulfites, ensuring a cleaner, more sustainable sip.

Small Plates with Big Impact

The menu also features small plates designed for sharing, with an emphasis on traceable ingredients and waste-conscious sourcing. Herbs are picked fresh from the garden, and fruits are sourced from B Corporation-certified supplier Ponthier, known for its pesticide-free, 100% traceable produce.

“Sustainability isn’t about perfection—it’s about making small, conscious choices every day,” adds Pamela. “At Bettr Coffee @ The Foundry, we hope to show how simple shifts in sourcing, serving, and consuming can create a larger, positive impact.”
