Singapore’s coffee culture goes far beyond the morning caffeine fix. From traditional Nanyang kopi to South Indian filter coffee and contemporary specialty brews, the way we drink coffee here reflects the communities and neighbourhoods that have shaped the city.
This October and November, Citadines is turning that everyday ritual into a way to explore Singapore through its 2026 For the Love of Coffee campaign. Running from 18 October to 29 November, the Singapore programme, “A Cup of Coffee, A City of Stories”, features three curated coffee and heritage experiences developed exclusively with local tour operator Monster Day Tours.
Three coffee experiences across Singapore
The programme is built around three guided experiences that connect different styles of coffee with the history and culture of their neighbourhoods.
Sip, Stroll & Discover Chinatown — 18 October 2026
The first tour combines Nanyang coffee culture with Chinatown’s Chinese heritage. Guests will explore the neighbourhood and Chinatown Heritage Centre, learn more about Singapore’s early Chinese immigrants, then take part in a kopi appreciation workshop where they can brew their own cup and sample local snacks.
Little India Coffee Trail — 15 November 2026
The second experience moves to Little India, where traditional coffeeshop culture is paired with a Deepavali heritage walk. Guests will visit the Singapore Coffeeshop Heritage Gallery, explore stories about the Indian community’s contribution to Singapore’s multicultural identity, and finish with a South Indian filter coffee appreciation session accompanied by traditional sweets and snacks.
Modern Coffee & Kent Ridge Heritage — 29 November 2026
The final tour focuses on modern brewing techniques alongside local history. Guests will start with a brewing workshop and tasting led by Kaffeign before walking through Kent Ridge and Bukit Chandu to learn about Singapore’s Malay heritage and wartime history, including the Battle of Pasir Panjang.
Who can join the Citadines coffee tours?
The experiences are open to Citadines guests who are members of Ascott Star Rewards (ASR). Registration is available through Citazens, Citadines’ on-property associates, at participating properties in Singapore.
The campaign is part of Citadines’ broader global For the Love of Coffee programme, themed “Your city, your cuppa”. In Singapore, the idea is to use coffee as a starting point for exploring the city’s neighbourhoods, communities and everyday traditions.
