Coffee and croissants may be a familiar breakfast combination, but Sofitel Singapore City Centre and Nespresso are giving the French ritual a more elaborate treatment with a limited-edition in-room dining experience.
Available from 1 September to 26 November 2026, the La Haute Croissanterie x Nespresso “Please Disturb” Croissant and Coffee Pairing Menu brings together three specially created pastries and coffee recipes, all of which can be ordered and enjoyed without leaving your hotel room.
The Singapore offering is part of a wider collaboration rolling out across 20 selected Sofitel properties worldwide during the same period.
Croissants and coffee delivered to your room
Guests at Sofitel Singapore City Centre will find a “Please Disturb” door hanger placed beside the Nespresso machine in their room, introducing the three available pairings.
Orders are made through the hotel’s in-room dining QR code and delivered directly to the room or suite on a dedicated tray with fresh flowers.
There is also a small element of tableside theatre. Depending on the pairing ordered, the final touches may involve brûléed sugar, a citrus mist, or freshly grated dark chocolate and Sichuan pepper.
Unlike a conventional breakfast menu, the pairings are available on demand throughout the day, so guests can have them for breakfast, an afternoon coffee break or even a late-day treat.
The three croissant and coffee pairings
Le Brûlé: Cappuccino Mousse Brûlée & Crispy Honey Cream Croissant
Le Brûlé pairs a decaffeinated Cappuccino Mousse Brûlée with a Crispy Honey Cream Croissant.
Almond flavours run through both components, while orange blossom and fresh orange zest add citrus notes. The brûléed finish of the cappuccino is intended to complement the honey and caramel-like flavours of the pastry, with the airy coffee foam contrasting against the croissant’s crisp layers.
Sofitel Singapore City Centre Pastry Chef Stanley Mak has picked this as his favourite of the three pairings.
L’Epicé: Spicy Chocolate Coffee & Coffee-Choco Exotic Croissant
For those who prefer deeper flavours, L’Epicé combines coffee, dark chocolate and tropical fruit.
The croissant is filled with a coffee-chocolate ganache, matched with an espresso-based drink made with oat milk. Passion fruit adds acidity to cut through the richer chocolate and coffee flavours, while Sichuan pepper provides an aromatic, gently spicy finish.
It is perhaps the most unconventional of the three combinations, particularly for anyone curious about how spice can work alongside coffee and chocolate.
Le Tonique: Iced Orange Espresso Tonic & Paris Brest Croissant
The lightest and most refreshing-looking option is Le Tonique, which matches an Iced Orange Espresso Tonic with a Paris Brest Croissant.
The pastry features hazelnut praline diplomat cream and roasted hazelnuts, while the coffee brings together espresso, tonic water, orange blossom water and fresh orange zest.
The bitterness and acidity of the iced drink are intended to balance the richness of the hazelnut-filled pastry rather than simply adding another sweet element to the pairing.
Part of Sofitel’s La Haute Croissanterie series
Sofitel introduced La Haute Croissanterie in January 2024, taking inspiration from the craftsmanship associated with haute couture and applying the idea to French pastry.
Its croissants begin with a traditional butter-based recipe before incorporating seasonal ingredients, creams, fruit preparations and other fillings.
The latest collaboration with Nespresso shifts the focus from the pastry alone to the relationship between croissant and coffee, with each drink developed to complement particular flavours and textures in its accompanying pastry.
The La Haute Croissanterie x Nespresso “Please Disturb” experience is available at Sofitel Singapore City Centre from 1 September to 26 November 2026. The three pairings can be ordered through the hotel’s in-room dining service during a stay.
