French Fold has quietly become a staple for Parisian-style galettes and crêpes in Singapore, and now it’s brought its signature charm to Great World. This third outpost stays true to its winning formula—warm French hospitality, quality ingredients, and beautifully executed buckwheat galettes—while introducing a few touches unique to this new location.

A Taste of France with a Local Twist

While the menu remains largely consistent with their Orchard and Telok Ayer branches, the Great World outlet plays up the use of Comté cheese, especially in their savoury selections. Expect all the comforting favourites, from the Duck Confit galettes to perfectly poached eggs nestled in hollandaise.

But the fun lies in the surprises—like the No. 10 Galette, a Great World exclusive. It wraps grilled pork sausage, Comté, and caramelised onions in a crisp buckwheat crepe, paired with golden fries. And while we didn’t try it ourselves (we were too full from another tasting!), it definitely turned heads.

What We Ordered

We started with the Burrata galette, a vegetarian mix of arugula, tomatoes, pine nuts, and balsamic reduction—which we promptly de-vegetarianised by adding ham. The accommodating staff didn’t blink an eye at our request.

You probably can’t see the eggs and hollandaise sauce underneath all the ham and veggies…

The Eggs Benedict galette delivered comfort with a twist: poached eggs and creamy hollandaise resting on a crisp buckwheat base. Word is, they may serve it on sourdough instead, depending on availability—so just ask.

Then came dessert: the Artisanal Manuka Honey crêpe, layered with roasted buckwheat seeds and a scoop of Hojicha gelato (all their gelato is from Birds of Paradise). It was nutty, floral, and beautifully balanced—though we did wish for more gelato.

We also sampled their White Chocolate Crêpe with dark chocolate sorbet. It was exactly what you’d expect—simple, indulgent, and satisfying.

Next to us, a French diner ordered the Caramelised Pear Crêpe and said it transported him right back to France. High praise from someone in the know.

French Fold Great World may not rewrite the menu, but it brings the same comforting consistency fans love—with just enough exclusivity to make a visit worthwhile. Whether you’re a savoury galette devotee or a sweet crêpe lover, you’ll find something to savour.

And if you ask us? That Hojicha gelato and buckwheat combo is reason enough to come back.
