Singapore shoppers looking for a different kind of fizzy drink now have a home-grown option on 7-Eleven shelves. Curated Culture has launched Refresh prebiotic soda in Singapore, starting with Lychee and Calamansi flavours and a series of S$1 promotional deals.

Curated Culture describes Refresh as Singapore’s first zero-sugar prebiotic soda. Each 245ml can contains 5g of Fibregum, a soluble dietary fibre made from acacia gum, along with 30 calories. The drinks are formulated in Singapore and are positioned as an everyday alternative to conventional soft drinks rather than a specialist wellness product.

What is in Refresh prebiotic soda?

The main functional ingredient is Fibregum, an acacia-derived soluble fibre. Prebiotic fibre acts as food for beneficial bacteria already living in the gut, which is why it is commonly added to products marketed for digestive health.

Refresh is sweetened with xylitol rather than sugar. According to product information supplied by Curated Culture, the soda is also caffeine-free, vegan-friendly, JAKIM Halal-certified and made without artificial flavourings or preservatives.

The result is still intended to feel like a regular carbonated drink: something to pick up with lunch, during an afternoon break or on the way home, rather than something that needs to be worked into a formal wellness routine.

Lychee and Calamansi lead the launch

The first two flavours to reach stores are Lychee and Calamansi, both drawing on flavours that are familiar across Singapore and the wider region.

Two more flavours are planned for release later: Peach, described as soft and subtly sweet, and Mango, which has a richer fruit profile with a gentle sparkle.

All four flavours are expected to be available for in-store purchase exclusively at 7-Eleven Singapore until February 2027.

S$1 deals at selected 7-Eleven outlets

To mark the launch, Curated Culture and 7-Eleven are running monthly S$1 deals at participating outlets from September 2026 to February 2027. The first confirmed promotions are:

  • Refresh Lychee: 23 September to 6 October 2026
  • Refresh Calamansi: 21 October to 6 November 2026

Later S$1 promotions are expected to introduce additional flavours. As with other 7-Eleven promotions, availability and pricing can vary between stores, so it is worth checking the participating-outlet details before making a special trip. The latest promotion information is available on 7-Eleven Singapore’s S$1 Deals page.

Curated Culture co-founders Sew Shu Wen, Shermaine Heng, and Christian Eviston-Putsch

Curated Culture was founded in 2021 by Christian Eviston-Putsch, Shermaine Heng and Sew Shu Wen, who met at the National University of Singapore. The founders combined business and food-science backgrounds around the idea that functional drinks still need to taste enjoyable enough for people to want them regularly.

Refresh joins two existing Curated Culture ranges. Recover is a non-carbonated iced tea containing BCAAs, electrolytes and postbiotics for post-exercise occasions, while Relax is a non-carbonated iced tea made with live probiotics and ashwagandha for winding down.

The new soda takes the same functional-beverage approach into a more familiar carbonated format, with Asian-inspired fruit flavours and prebiotic fibre.

Price and availability in Singapore

Refresh Lychee and Calamansi have been rolling out progressively at 7-Eleven outlets across Singapore since 1 September 2026. The regular retail price ranges from S$2.50 to S$3.00 per 245ml can.

Peach and Mango are due to follow in the coming months. The S$1 promotional offers apply only at selected participating 7-Eleven stores.

Product specifications, nutritional information, promotional dates and availability are based on information supplied by Curated Culture and may change.
