Visitors exploring the Mandai Wildlife Reserve now have even more reasons to linger after a day with the animals. Planter’s Shed, the all-day dining restaurant at Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, has introduced a refreshed menu featuring wellness-inspired dishes alongside familiar Singapore favourites.
Located within the resort, the restaurant’s latest offerings are designed to cater to both resort guests and day visitors seeking a satisfying meal surrounded by nature. The new menu reflects Banyan Tree’s wellbeing philosophy, while ensuring diners can still enjoy comforting local flavours.
According to Executive Sous Chef Alex Siah, the menu was developed with the resort’s unique setting in mind.
“Many of our guests spend long days exploring the wildlife parks and walking through the reserve. We wanted to create dishes that feel nourishing and wholesome while still offering the comfort and familiarity people naturally gravitate towards after a day outdoors,” he shared.

Wellness-Inspired Dishes
Among the highlights is the Avocado Vitality Toast (S$18++), which combines avocado with antioxidant-rich ingredients for a lighter option. Those looking for something refreshing can opt for the Organic Kale and Apple Salad (S$18++), while heartier selections include the Energy and Protein Bowl (S$20++) and the Plant Protein and Veggie (S$20++), both featuring nutrient-rich ingredients designed to keep diners feeling satisfied.
To end on a lighter note, the Refreshing Citrus Jelly (S$18++) pairs lemongrass jelly with lime sorbet for a bright and zesty finish.
The wellness menu also includes clear dietary markers indicating whether dishes are vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free or contain allergens, making it easier for diners to choose meals that suit their dietary preferences.

Local Favourites with a Contemporary Twist
For those craving familiar Singapore flavours, Planter’s Shed has expanded its local offerings with several signature dishes.
The Seafood Mee Goreng (S$24++) comes loaded with prawns, squid and scallops, while the Nasi Lemak (S$24++) features sambal prawns alongside the traditional accompaniments. Another standout is the Signature Scallops Laksa (S$24++), where succulent scallops are served in a rich coconut-based broth.

Dessert lovers may want to save room for the Local Kopi Tiramisu (S$18++), a playful reinterpretation of the classic Italian dessert infused with local coffee flavours.
Family-Friendly Dining
Families visiting the nearby wildlife parks will also find a dedicated Little Rangers menu for younger diners.
Options include the Little Legends Bowl (S$12++), inspired by the restaurant’s Energy and Protein Bowl, as well as child-friendly favourites such as Fishy Crunch (S$12++), Chicky Chomps (S$12++) and Salmon Smiles (S$14++).
Dining Amid Nature
Whether you’re planning a meal before visiting the parks, looking for a post-adventure lunch, or simply seeking a relaxing dining spot away from the city, Planter’s Shed offers a convenient option within the Mandai precinct.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with breakfast buffets available from 6.30am to 11am, à la carte dining from 12pm to 9.30pm, and dinner buffets from 6pm to 9.30pm.
