A New Seasonal Chapter at Leela

Leela in Causeway Bay has unveiled a refreshed collection of winter dishes, tasting menus and a revamped Tiffin Box lunch set, continuing its mission to spotlight India’s regional cuisines through a contemporary lens. Chef Manav Tuli draws from culinary traditions across the subcontinent, while weaving in subtle Hong Kong influences, resulting in a menu that is both storied and modern.

New À La Carte Dishes

The winter à la carte line-up explores flavours rooted in regional heritage, with highlights that span from coastal favourites to hearty northern classics.

Seasonal creations include the Hairy Crab Biryani, an indulgent take on the festive ingredient layered with aged basmati rice, crab butter and tamarind, served with crab roe masala. Also joining the seasonal list is the Yuanna Morel Mushroom Korma, enriched with Tibetan black truffle.

Starters range from the bright and tangy Fish Cheek Rasam to the Kerala Pork Fry, which brings together crushed black pepper, curry leaf and coconut. From the tandoor, new additions include the Mawa Paneer Tikka with sun-dried tomatoes and almonds, the saffron-tinged Asaf Jahi Chicken Tikka, and Hong Kong–caught squid dusted with Kashmiri chilli. Meat lovers can look to the Kandhari Lamb Chop, marinated with ginger juice and pomegranate for a layered aromatic profile.

New curries and biryani dishes round out the menu — including Rara Gosht, a slow-cooked lamb dish scented with cumin and fennel; a whole tandoori-spiced Three Yellow Chicken served with Yunnan porcini pulao; a vibrant Black Pepper Mushroom; and a Prawn Pulao finished with tamarind and spices.

Two New Tasting Menus

Leela has introduced two tasting menus designed to offer distinct journeys through India’s culinary landscapes.

The Royal Experience

This menu pays tribute to the grandeur of royal kitchens and historical recipes. Dishes include a refined Fish Cheek Rasam inspired by a 16th-century preparation, a Mughal-era spiced chicken known as Shishranga Murg, and the richly layered Kandhari Lamb Chop. Further along the menu are a Persian-influenced beef curry and a Kerala-style crab curry, ending with a nostalgic fig dessert layered with nuts and milk ice cream.

The Signature Tasting Menu

Vibrant and lively, this menu highlights regional contrasts, from the crisp Lucknowi Tokri Chaat to a Baked Chettinadu Duck Samosa. Seafood features prominently, with Coconut Seabass and a bone marrow and beef cheek biryani that delivers depth and richness. Desserts bring in playful touches such as Ispahan-inspired kulfi and a chilli-spiced chocolate chaat.

Tiffin Box Set Lunch

Available Tuesday to Friday, the Tiffin Box Set Lunch offers a curated midday experience with two-, three- or four-course options. Diners can choose from starters including Chicken Tikka Salad, Sweet Potato Chaat and Goan Peri Peri Prawns; mains such as Kerala Fish Curry, Smoked Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and Thecha Prawn Pulao; and desserts including kulfi and seasonal fruit. Each set is accompanied by a choice of naan, steamed rice, vegetable of the day and dal of the day — a refined take on India’s tiffin tradition tailored for Hong Kong’s pace.
