Step into a time machine—cocktail in hand—as Las Palmas at Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena launches its brand-new Cocktail Volume 2.0 menu. Perched on the 33rd floor, this rooftop bar continues to channel the sun-drenched glamour of 1960s Palm Springs, drawing inspiration from the pop culture icons, cinematic legends, and colourful art movements of the era.
Crafted by Head Bartender Ron Aransay, the refreshed lineup reimagines classic cocktails through the lens of American modernism, Hollywood nostalgia, and tropical escapism. Think: Elvis energy, pin-up chic, and a splash of tiki swagger—all shaken (not stirred) into beautifully crafted tipples.
Sip Like a Star: Highlights from the New Menu
The drinks are grouped into four cultural “chapters”—Modernist, Vinyl, Hollywood, and Getaway—each evoking a distinct 1960s American vibe:
Tokyo Cowboy, inspired by Hiroshi Nagai’s works, which inspired the now-popular vaporwares visual art style
🎨 Modernist:
Tokyo Cowboy: A visual stunner inspired by Japanese illustrator Hiroshi Nagai, capturing the dreamy pastel hues of city-pop aesthetics.
Atomic-O Martini: A cheeky remix of the espresso martini with cognac and Oreo shavings—nodding to Roy Lichtenstein’s pop art explosions.
Bamba Paloma riffs off the popular Mexican folk song, best known for the 1958 adaptation by Ritchie Valens
🎶 Vinyl:
Bamba Paloma: Mezcal meets grapefruit and rockmelon in this Latin-fused Paloma, honouring Ritchie Valens.
Jungle Blues: A boozy tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival—bourbon, banana, and pineapple stirred into a wild Old Fashioned.
Slick Rick takes inspiration from Leonardo DiCaprio’s portrayal of Rick Dalton in Quentin Tarantino’s classic “Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood”
🎬 Hollywood:
Slick Rick: A whisky-based concoction topped with chrysanthemum foam, channeling Leo DiCaprio’s washed-up cowboy in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.
Film Noir: A sultry, low-ABV highball with Earl Grey, elderflower, and citrus—like Casablanca, but cooler and more crushable.
🌴 Getaway:
Luau: A tropical ode to Polynesian pop with mezcal, salted corn, and creamy coconut-oat half & half.
Tropical Vic: A fresh pink guava and kaffir lime tiki-style escape.
Rose Bowl Spritz: Light, sparkling, and ready for poolside lounging.
