Grand Majestic Sichuan in Hong Kong has introduced a refreshed selection of seasonal dishes, new desserts and an expanded drinks and bar snacks experience at The Majestic Garden, alongside the continuation of its weekly Sunday Majestic Brunch.

Located within Alexandra House in Central, the restaurant continues to highlight the bold depth and complexity of Sichuan cuisine through dishes that balance numbing spice, layered heat and savoury richness while presenting them in a refined contemporary setting.

New Seasonal Dishes Showcase the Depth of Sichuan Flavours

The updated à la carte menu introduces a range of new dishes spanning chilled appetisers, claypot signatures and wok-fried specialities inspired by traditional Sichuan cooking techniques.

Highlights include Chilled Poached Chicken with Numbing Chilli Oil, a classic appetiser layered with garlic, sesame and fragrant peppercorn heat, as well as Chilled Jellyfish with Chinese Mustard Oil and Fermented Chilli for a crisp and refreshing start.

Among the heartier selections, the Fish and Lamb Pot combines freshwater grouper with New Zealand lamb ribs in a warming claypot preparation that reflects rustic Sichuan home cooking traditions. Another standout is the Green Peppercorn Clam Pot with Porous Tofu, which delivers a bright citrus-like lift from fresh Sichuan peppercorns.

Guests seeking bolder flavours can explore the Braised Beef Slices with Sichuan Dry Spice or the dramatic Fragrant Spicy Lobster, inspired by Chengdu’s iconic spicy crab preparations.

Vegetarian diners are also catered for with Sichuan Cold Noodles dressed in chilli oil, garlic and vinegar, with the option to add shredded chicken if preferred.

New Desserts Reinterpret Sichuan Street Classics

The refreshed dessert selection introduces modern interpretations of familiar Sichuan sweet flavours.

The Almond Pudding reimagines the traditional almond milk sweet soup as a chilled pudding served with jasmine tea peach compote and almond crumble, while the Tangerine Cake incorporates aged tangerine peel paired with poached pear and Pu Erh tea cream for a fragrant finish.

Majestic Garden Introduces Daily Happy Hour from 5pm to 8pm

The Majestic Garden, the restaurant’s al fresco terrace space in Central, now offers a daily Happy Hour from 5pm to 8pm featuring a curated selection of cocktails, wines, beers and bar snacks priced from HK$58 + 10%.

Cocktail highlights include the Pineapple Daiquiri with Havana rum and tropical fruit notes, the Majestic Bird with toasted sesame and Campari, and the Swizzle Park, a refreshing alcohol-free option built around cucumber, mint and lime.

Wine lovers can also enjoy selections from Larry Cherubino’s Folklore range by the glass during Happy Hour.

New Sichuan-Inspired Bar Snacks Designed for Sharing

Complementing the drinks menu is a new lineup of Sichuan-inspired bar snacks designed for casual sharing.

These include Chilled Edamame Beans tossed with chilli and aromatic numbing salt, Smacked Garlic Cucumber with vinegar and soy dressing, Sichuan Peppercorn Baby Bamboo with spring onion and soy, and Crispy Chicken Parcels coated in house-made numbing spice blends.

Additional options such as Sichuan Beef Jerky with chilli oil and sesame seeds and Spicy Baby Squid with numbing salt round out the selection.
