Rachelle The Rabbit Distillery, formerly known as Compendium Spirits, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in style. The homegrown pioneer in artisanal spirits has unveiled a complete rebrand, launched its new 23,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility — now Singapore’s largest distillery — and introduced exciting product innovations to mark this milestone.

A New Identity, Same Passion

Named after founder Simon Zhao’s daughter, Rachelle The Rabbit embodies the distillery’s playful, adventurous spirit. This rebrand represents more than just a fresh visual identity — it’s a bold declaration of its continued commitment to Southeast Asian flavours, craftsmanship, and creativity.

“Our new home is a space for creativity, for pushing boundaries, and for honouring the incredible diversity of Asia through every bottle we make,” says Simon Zhao, Founder & Master Distiller.

Expanding Horizons and Expertise

The distillery’s relocation to 6 Chin Bee Crescent significantly upgrades its production capabilities, featuring a full-scale distillation floor, bottling line, maturation warehouse, and research facilities. With an annual capacity of 600,000 litres, half dedicated to whiskey production, Rachelle The Rabbit is shaping Singapore’s position on the global spirits stage.

To further elevate its offerings, the distillery welcomes Kenji Hariu, a renowned Japanese whiskey expert from prestigious distilleries such as Karuizawa and Fuji Gotemba, as Production Consultant. Hariu brings decades of expertise to refine whiskey-making techniques, adapting processes to Singapore’s tropical climate for exceptional results.

Coju Bunnies: A Fun New Twist

Among the latest launches is Coju Bunnies, a playful sub-brand revamping its popular Coconut Soju (Coju) series. Designed to resonate with younger audiences, these vibrant bottles combine tropical flavours with a light, smooth finish. Inspired by Asian desserts, the lineup includes:

Bandung Coju – fragrant rose syrup and creamy coconut

Ondeh Ondeh Coju – gula melaka, pandan, and shredded coconut goodness

Available now via the Rachelle The Rabbit online store at S$12 per bottle.

A Decade of Innovation

Since its beginnings as Singapore’s first licensed meadery in 2015, Rachelle The Rabbit has constantly pushed boundaries, from creating the award-winning Hom Mali Rice Whiskey to launching the Yomatsuri whiskey series under its Japanese subsidiary. The new distillery cements its role as a regional trailblazer redefining modern Asian spirits.
