For two nights only this November, gastronomes in Hong Kong will be treated to a remarkable culinary partnership between Yong Fu Hong Kong and Hansik Goo, both MICHELIN-starred and DIAMOND-recognised restaurants. Marking their first-ever collaboration, this exclusive event will take place on 4 November at Yong Fu and 5 November at Hansik Goo, featuring an 8-course tasting menu of 13 entirely co-developed dishes, priced at HK$1,880++ per guest.

This unprecedented crossover bridges the elegant, tradition-rooted flavours of Ningbo cuisine, expertly led by Chef Liu Zhen of Yong Fu, with the bold, contemporary interpretations of modern Korean cuisine by Chef Park Seung-hun of Hansik Goo, known for his experience at the acclaimed Mingles in Seoul.

Following Yong Fu’s previous fusion endeavours—such as their Indian-Ningbo collaboration with Leela—this new chapter delves into the culinary synergies between coastal Chinese and Korean gastronomic philosophies. Both chefs share a reverence for heritage, seasonal ingredients, and boundary-pushing creativity.

Menu Highlights:

Deep-Fried Glutinous Rice Chicken Wing with shaved ginseng and gochujang plum sauce

Brown Croaker Fish Lion Head in white kimchi broth

Korean Abalone steamed in fermented rice lees, with perilla and cabbage

Ningbo Rice Cake with fermented vegetables and yellow croaker roe

Braised Beef Rib in red braising sauce, served with Xinjiang rice

Dessert duo: Ningbo sesame dumpling and glutinous rice balls in dendrobium osmanthus syrup

Each dish was created from scratch, blending the chefs’ signature techniques and flavour profiles to tell a new, shared culinary story. This limited-edition menu promises to be a sensory exploration for those eager to taste something genuinely innovative and collaborative.
