One MICHELIN-starred Andō (#41 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants) is teaming up with Jakarta’s celebrated August (#49 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants) for the second leg of their collaborative culinary journey, happening on 17–18 September 2025 at Andō in Central, Hong Kong.
Following the first successful chapter in Jakarta this August, this special two-night event brings together Chef Agustin Balbi’s narrative-driven cuisine with Chef Hans Christian’s modern Indonesian flavours, creating an unforgettable gastronomic experience.
A Shared Culinary Vision
Founded by Chef Hans Christian and Managing Partner Budi Cahyadi, August celebrates Indonesia’s culinary heritage through a refined yet contemporary lens. The restaurant sources premium local ingredients such as line-caught Lombok fish, fresh vanilla pods from Sukabumi, and single-origin chocolate from Pipiltin Cocoa to craft dishes that highlight the richness of Indonesian flavours.
At Andō, Chef Agustin Balbi continues to weave his Argentine roots, Spanish training, and Japanese influences into dishes that tell deeply personal stories. The collaboration offers diners a rare opportunity to witness the creative synergy between two of Asia’s most exciting culinary innovators.

Available for two nights only, the collaborative tasting menu is priced at HK$2,688++ per person and comes with a seven-glass wine pairing designed to complement the unique dialogue between the chefs’ culinary styles.
