The St. Regis Singapore has unveiled The Tea Room and The Patisserie, inviting guests to indulge in the hotel’s signature afternoon tea ritual with a fresh, modern twist. Located in the hotel lobby, the new dining destination blends timeless elegance with contemporary design, inspired by the nearby Botanic Gardens. Soft ivory, sky blue, and blush tones pair with champagne-gold accents, creating an airy, sophisticated summer garden atmosphere perfect for quiet moments or intimate gatherings.
The Tea Room reimagines the afternoon tea tradition first introduced by Mrs. Caroline Astor at The St. Regis New York in the 19th century. The Summer Garden Afternoon Tea begins with a glass of sparkling tea, followed by a choice of coffee or a pot of tea brewed tableside by a tea sommelier. Guests are treated to an array of artfully presented savoury canapés and desserts on a classic three-tier stand, alongside unlimited freshly baked scones with a choice of four artisanal jams and clotted cream.
The seasonal menu celebrates the vibrant colours and flavours of summer with highlights such as foie gras on shortbread with raspberry caviar, St. Regis tea-cured salmon with cream cheese and mango pearls, and goat cheese tart with elderflower. Sweet delights include the Jasmine Citrus with mandarin confit, Pistachio Financier Cake with strawberry confit and orange compote, and the Tropical Garden Tartlet. The indulgence concludes with a Vanilla Macaron and a zesty Lime Caramel Praline. Prices start from S$65++ per person with Copenhagen Sparkling Tea or S$95++ per person with R de Ruinart Brut Champagne.
Beyond afternoon tea, The Tea Room offers an all-day à la carte menu featuring refined interpretations of local favourites, such as Chilli Crab Kueh Pie Tee, Rojak Salad, and Lobster Laksa, alongside intricate desserts like the Calamansi Tart and Pandan-Coconut “Tiramisu”. The drinks menu includes sustainably sourced teas from Taylors of Harrogate, arabica coffee from Tanamera Coffee & Roastery, and artisanal spirits from Singaporean distilleries Brass Lion Gin, Tanglin Gin, and Compendium Spirits.
Opposite The Tea Room, The Patisserie offers gourmet takeaways and gifts, including handcrafted cakes, petit gateaux, signature viennoiseries, seasonal salads, and artisanal sandwiches. Guests can also enjoy expertly brewed coffee and selected takeaway items via pick-up and delivery.
The Tea Room is open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM, with afternoon tea served from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Patisserie opens daily from 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM.
