As Singapore turns 60, Oasis Hideout is serving up more than just a meal – it’s delivering a plateful of national pride with its Harmony Platter. Created by chef-owner and second-generation hawker Antonio Tay, this special dish pays homage to the diverse culinary heritage that makes Singapore unique.

Inspired by his upbringing in a hawker family and his belief in food as a unifying force, Antonio designed the Harmony Platter to bring people together over familiar, comforting flavours from the nation’s four main cultures.

Here’s what’s on the platter:

Chinese flavours: Sautéed Cabbage with a ‘wok hey’ aroma, Har Cheong Chicken Popraage with a prawn paste punch, and Sweet & Sour Fish.

Malay favourites: Merah Goreng Ayam, Beef Rendang, and satay skewers with chicken, beef, and prawn.

Indian spice: Masala Curry Barramundi or Masala Curry Chicken.

Universal touch: A fluffy omelette symbolising the many other cultures that call Singapore home.

All of these are served with fragrant Nasi Lemak Pandan, creating a hearty family meal for four – priced at S$60 nett(usual S$89) in celebration of SG60. Add-ons like extra skewers, omelette, beef rendang, or rice are also available.

The Harmony Platter will be available until 30 September 2025 at Oasis Hideout, a cosy diner blending Western and Asian flavours by the poolside at Singapore Polytechnic Graduate’s Guild.

Oasis Hideout also offers an extensive menu with over 100 dishes, from Laksa Seafood Pasta to Tom Yam Seafood Pasta, making it a go-to spot for comfort food with a twist.
